AHMEDABAD: Naroda police within hours of a robbery which took place in Odhav on Saturday evening nabbed one of the two accused, Utkarsh Dangi of Ramol and hailing from Bihar. Police sources said they are hunting for his accomplice, Ravi Koshti of CTM area who was involved in the robbery. Naroda police have recovered the total amount of Rs 5 lakh robbed in the incident from the accused and handed the accused to Odhav police.
Inspector of Odhav police station RJ Jadeja said that they have arrested the accused after his Covid-19 test and are interrogating him.

According to police sources, Dangi, who had to pay the pending instalments of his bike, planned a robbery with his friend Koshti and planned out a robbery.
"They identified an angadia firm in Odhav and stood outside the firm. About then, a man named Rakesh Tiwari who owns a factory in Bileshwar Estate in Odhav came out with a bag and putting the bag on the foot rest of the scooter started going back to his office. Meanwhile Dangi and friend Koshti intercepted him near Viratnagar and sped away after snatching the bag containing Rs 5 lakh. On getting the information, Odhav police flashed the message to police stations across the city", said a police source.
According to police sources, at that time Naroda police were on patrolling duty near Devnand Sankalp City and saw two persons doing something under the cover of darkness.
"We suspected something illegal and immediately cordoned them off. One of them, Ravi Koshti escaped while we caught Dangi and recovered the bag containing Rs 5 lakh. During his primary interrogation he confessed before us that he and his accomplice had robbed the bag from a man in Odhav area of the city", added a senior police official.
Inspector Jadeja of Odhav police station said that they formed a team to nab the other accused. "Very soon we will nab him," he added.
